Minimalism Life

We fell asleep in one world and woke up in another.

Suddenly Disney has run out of magic.
Paris is no longer romantic.
New York is no longer standing.
The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress.
And Mecca is empty.

Cuddles and kisses suddenly become weapons and not visiting relatives and friends becomes an act of love.

Suddenly you realized that power, beauty, and money were worth nothing and could not get you the oxygen you were fighting for.

The World continues its life and it is magnificent; she only cages humans. I think she is sending us a message:

“You are not essential. The air, the earth, the water, and the sky without you are fine. And even better. When you come back, remember that you are my guests—not my masters.”

The positive is clear—we have been forced to slow down, to simplify, to connect in ways we’d forgotten how—to connect with ourselves.

To disconnect from all the “busy”, the stories we tell ourselves to justify what we are doing.

We’ve been made to stop—to look outside from inside and marvel at what we take for granted.

There’s so much beauty and wellness in being made to stop and reflect, and through this, we may just forgive ourselves for making so much ado about nothing and taking so much for granted.
