The information you provide to Minimalism Life is used in different ways depending on your interactions with the website. Visitors may sign up to Minimalism Life mailing lists, or subscribe to our Inside Minimalism series. In these instances, the information you provide allows us to contact you about Minimalism Life updates and new published content. In most cases, personally identifying information is stored on Minimalism Life servers within the UK. However, we do use third-party companies to enhance the quality, service and functionality of certain web services available to visitors. We use:

Minimalism Life principally uses your information under the legal basis of consent. When you enter your information in a form, we specify the purpose and future use of this information. An example of this is: requesting to be added to a mailing list (which will be used to send you newsletters and information).

Minimalism Life also may process your information under the legal basis of contract, whereby the processing is necessary for a contract you have with us, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract. Subscribing to our premium membership typically falls into this category wherein you supply your information because you wish to access a particular service.
Sharing personal data
As noted above, Minimalism Life (depending on the form) may disclose information to the following companies: Substack. This will be indicated alongside the form you use to submit your information.
Retention of personal data
The length of time for which we hold your data is dependent on the purpose for which the information was supplied.
Details supplied for the purposes of subscribing to our premium membership or subscribing to our newsletter will be retained until you choose to unsubscribe from the service.
Automated processing and profiling
Minimalism Life does not use profiling or automated decision-making processes.
Log files
Like many other websites, Minimalism Life makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, types of browsers, Internet Service Providers (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks—this information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information, are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
Cookies and web beacons
Minimalism Life does use cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages users access or visit, and to customize web page content based on visitors’ browser types or other information visitors send via their browsers.

Subscriptions
We offer email letters for free as well as for a subscription fee, the price of which is at our discretion. We may change the prices at our sole discretion through our Substack account (provided no price changes shall apply retroactively). All prices will be set in U.S. Dollars, and any payments End Users makes to Minimalism Life or Minimalism Life makes to Substack will be made in U.S. Dollars.
We will use a third party payment processing company (“Third Party Payment Processor”) as determined by Substack to process payment information from End Users.
Refunds
End Users will have 30 calendar days from the date of purchase to request a refund on our premium (Inside Minimalism) subscription plan.
